Marbella Poker League Starts!

Spain's top poker players were in Marbella this weekend, where the first event of the Marbella Classic Poker 700 league took place at Casino Marbella . The event attracted 119 players, including well known faces such as Marco Van Opzeland, Santi Torres “The Catalan”, Ricard Bozicevich “Conejolocko” and Paul Zimbler “The Marbella Kid”, and eyebrows were certainly raised when the first player out was respected competitor Valentín Berruezo.
After two hours of heads up play, Malaga player Sergio Rios called all-in with Q 7 against Halit Sahitaj’s K 3. The flop came 7 8 8, and Segio walked off with the winner’s cheque of €20,500. The next event in the league takes place over the Easter weekend.
